When baby finally sleeps through the night

A full night's sleep is every parent's dream! When does it happen?

  • Sleeping through the night is when a newborn can sleep a minimum of 5 or 6 hours in a row, without being woken up by their biological clock.
  • This milestone depends on each child: it can happen as early as three months or as late as six months, in 1 in 10 babies.
  • Even if your baby has established good time habits, they may temporarily revert to nighttime waking, especially during growth spurts.

I feel like the further along you get, the harder it is. With my first pregnancy I was told “ it’s your body preparing for when baby is here” ??

Hoping I can get some advice. My son is almost 9 months old and still not sleeping through the night. He gets up randomly in the middle of the night wanting to play and last night he was up fussing until 5am, then woke up at 7. I got no sleep and I'm still dealing with PPD and have been told by my Dr that I need to be getting rest. We've discussed everything with my son's pediatrician and nothing we try is working. He suggested Benadryl, which doesn't even phase my kid. He's on an Rx for GERD because he's still dealing with it and his Dr thought that it might be why he's not sleeping, but it's not the reason. Could it be possible that my son is suffering from a sleep disorder this early???

My son just turned 10 months old. He has been sleeping through the night for a while, however this last week he has been waking up multiple time during the night. Im feeling the sleep deprivation coming back. Has anyone else's baby done this? Any advice to get him back sleeping through the night?

He could be teething if he isn't already. Have you checked his gums? Is he throwing a fever at all? If so give him some Tylenol or ibuprofen and then his oral gel.

Baby just turned 3 months and still not sleeping through the night. I see so many other moms posting how their baby slept 10-12 hours and they’re even younger than my son. I know every baby is different but curious about tips?! He is taking 4 oz max every 4 hours and won’t take anymore than that.

Try putting a little bit of baby rice cereal in his nighttime bottle. Just a small amount like a 1/4 of a tsp or less. It worked for my son

she’s 6lbs and 3oz she’s still in premie clothes but she’s not premie i ended up wait until the 3:30 mark and she started to stir on her own so i took that time to change and feed her and then she slept the rest of the night the ped said she’s perfect for how she is so if she doesn’t wake up by that 4 hour mark then feed her anyway just to make sure she can maintain the weight and continue to grow
