Baby has a runny nose: what to do?

A runny nose is one of the most common ailments babies will experience in their early years.

  • Just like adults, a runny nose is one of the symptoms of a cold, and this harmless infection is often cured spontaneously within a few days.
  • Up to the age of 3 months, babies breathe exclusively through their nose, so it's important to keep their airways clear.
  • Wash your baby's nostrils frequently with a diluted seawater-based solution or saline solution.
  • If the symptoms persist or are repeated, it may be allergic rhinitis. Do not hesitate to consult your pediatrician.

Hey I need help! I’m 38 weeks just had my baby shower this pass weekend now I have a cough, some times runny nose.. day 3 now.. I mean what can the doctors do but give me medicine and I don’t do medicine. I been drinking ginger tea since yesterday.. I’m just scared. Any advice.. should I go to the doctors for the baby sake? Should I buy a Doppler just to check his heart rate?

Other than Tylenol, what other things can we give to a 4 month old who has a cold. My baby had low fever in the middle of the night and now has a runny nose. Please help me out

Unfortunately there isn’t any other medication you can give him ☹️ But, running a HOT shower and sitting in the bathroom with him will help clear his nose & throat. Other than that all you can do is use a suction bulb and keep them comfortable ?

I tested positive for covid-19 today and I’m currently 28 weeks. ppl keep telling me to take Tylenol. Regular Tylenol pills or the Tylenol cold/flu? whatever helps to make this easier and pass so baby and me will be okay. so far my only symptom is a super bad sore throat and runny/stuffy nose. I’m monitoring my temperature and as of now, it’s staying normal. same with my oxygen levels.
