The complement free choice of the mode of guard

The supplement for free choice of childcare is a financial aid paid by the Caisse d'allocation familiale (CAF).

• It allows you to have your child under six years old looked after while being entitled to financial compensation.
• To be eligible, you must have a professional activity, be a student or receive the RSA.
• You must apply for a licensed childcare provider whose gross salary does not exceed 48.80 euros per day.
• If your baby is cared for in a micro-crèche, the time spent in the crèche must exceed 16 hours per month and the rate must not exceed 12 euros per hour.
• The amount of the supplement depends on the income of the household and covers up to 85% of the salary.
