Feeding your baby at 4 months

At 4 months of age, the baby is wide awake and has plenty of time to socialize with others. On average, the baby has doubled his birth weight, and for some babies, it's time for a big change in diet.

  • Even if the meals must essentially contain milk—artificial or maternal—some parents will choose to start diversifying the diet when the baby is 4 months old.
  • He'll be eating apples, pears, carrots, or green beans!
  • Yes, in addition to bottles of about 210 ml, the baby will be able to receive a few spoonfuls of purees and compotes to awaken the taste buds.
  • But be careful, we start slowly, and with the advice of his pediatrician!
