Taking care of baby's teeth

One of the major milestones in a baby's development is the arrival of the first tooth. But how to take care of baby's teeth? We tell you everything.

  • It is not because they will eventually fall out that we should neglect the care of your baby's teeth!
  • Brushing your baby's teeth is the first essential step in ensuring good dental health.
  • Every night before bedtime, you can clean your child's teeth with an infant toothbrush and a bit of kid's toothpaste.
  • Your child will start to brush their teeth on their own around the age of 3, with your help.
  • To prevent cavities, nothing is better than adopting good eating habits from a young age!

Good morning moms! I have a question? My son is almost 9 months and when he was just a couple months old we had to switch to Similac alientum (sorry if I spelled it wrong) and he’s been good with it. Recently he’s been teething and was doing great with taking his bottle when his first tooth was coming in now he won’t take his bottle so I’ve been putting formula in with food, and trying to spoon feed the rest of the formula well he’ll eat all the food with the formula in it but as soon as I spoon fed him the formula he started crying and throwing his hand around. Is it possible my kid could be allergic to this formula now?

Hi! My name is Dana, and I’m a first time mom to a sweet little guy! I need some mom advice as this is my first time dealing with this. Last Saturday one of my sons bottom tooth popped through and he was drinking his bottles just fine, maybe not as much but as of Tuesday he won’t drink from his bottle at all. He also won’t put anything in his mouth nor really let me or my husband touch his mouth. Any advice, or tips is very much appreciated. I also have been giving him formula in with his puréed food but he’s only getting about 8oz total or little less a day

Sometimes if you make popsicles with formula and fruit in it, they're more likely to eat it and it helps with their teething.

Thank you! I will try that. I’m hoping it will work. My son doesn’t put normally anything in his mouth like teething toys or anything. He never used a pacifier either so I’m not sure if that is the reason as well that he doesn’t want anything in his mouth
