At what age does baby start teething?

If your baby is showing symptoms that make you think they are teething, here's what you need to know.

  • Generally, the first baby teeth appear around 4 to 6 months, and no later than one year.
  • The arrival of the first tooth can be quick… or it can take a while. Some children feel almost nothing, while others will have a variety of linked symptoms.
  • In reality, teeth have already started to form during pregnancy.
  • To give you some timelines, it is widely considered that a baby should have all their milk teeth by the age of 3.
  • Did you know that one in 2,000 babies is born with one or two teeth?
