Childbirth: how do you know when you are in labor?

As a first-time mom, you may be worried about whether you can tell the difference between true and false labor. Don't panic, just follow the guide.

  • Your contractions will be painful and regular.
  • They will first appear every 30 minutes, becoming more and more intense and longer, from 15 seconds to sometimes a minute.
  • Then, these contractions will get closer together, every 5 minutes on average, lasting 30 to 45 seconds each.
  • Some moms-to-be break their water. It can be sudden or constant, sometimes leaking for several hours.
  • In all cases, painful and regular contractions or water loss should lead you to the maternity ward where you will be taken care of by the midwives who will carry out a complementary examination.

After doing my first glucose test my results was 190. I just did the 3 hours test today. I have so many questions and am supper worry and depressed. I think I fail my baby boy. I found out I fail the first test on Thursday and after that I’ve been eating salad vegetables etc.. and testing after 1 hour of my meals and I’ve been under 112 my fasting number it’s 80-90. I’ve been reading online they induce labor in some cases how true is this and do y’all mamas have any advices for me.

Aw habibti, it can happen to anyone. It has nothing to do with anything you’ve done. That test really just shows how your body processes sugar??‍♀️. You could be eating junk food 24/7 and still pass or you could have a pretty balanced diet and still fail

I'm not quite sure how exactly you get it, I just have a sister who had it while pregnant with her first baby and she was very perceptible to yeast infections. I'm not sure if the two correlate but she did go into labor a bit early at 37 and a half weeks with the bacterial vaginosis. I don't know if maybe your doctor can give you something to treat it? I hope this helps! Best of luck! ?
