Learn more about post-natal depression

Whether it's extreme fatigue, feelings of discouragement, or disappointment, postpartum depression should be identified early.

  • There is no reason to feel guilty if you feel this way because many mothers experience the same thing
  • Post-natal or post-partum depression should not be confused with baby blues
  • It occurs between the 2nd and 8th week after giving birth, whereas baby blues occur within hours of the baby's birth
  • Postpartum depression is sometimes related to the pain of childbirth
  • Mothers who have had a C-section are more often affected by postpartum depression
  • Talk about it with others and get professional help.

Any mommies have depression before pregnancy and worried about post partum depression being ten times worse? I’m 22 almost 23 weeks and I’m worried my depression after giving birth I’m gonna be worse then before.

Long Post : TW ⚠️ If you want me to be completely honest. I've been struggling with severe depression since March. I lost my twin baby girls March 14th. Honestly, I've been very suicidal since. I just wanna be with my babies, other than just dreams. They visit in my dreams, but I want to physically be with them. Plus, I'm spotting today, very light pink, no cramps like a period, & it's been over two hours that I've been spotting. Maybe implantation bleeding? Idk. I'm scared.

Let me just say this because it’s boiling me … don’t come on here with negative shit ! Understand that half of us our about to birth a baby and even become new moms! Don’t come on here telling ppl what they need to do as well .. especially if they post about a personal situation . Yes it’s okay to suggest something and give a helping opion… but don’t be negative … there moms on here really going threw depression and all that & when they post something it’s not for negative responses or tryna scare them . Because me personally I’m coming for your whole life if I feel offended by any means …

Question for all moms. What would you do if your fiance/husband told you that he wanted you on meds for post partum depression even though you haven't even had the baby yet?

Hi! I'm a first time mom. I have no experience with newborns or infants under 10 months. I'm also Autistic, ADD,OCD, suffer from depression and anxiety. I'm so scared I'll forget my baby somewhere or drop him. I'm both clumsy and forgetful. I am also scared of post partum depression. What if I want to hurt my child or get so depressed I don't take care of him? Any advice?
