Phases of menstrual cycle

If you want to conceive a baby, it is important to know your menstrual cycle to put all the chances on your side! The menstrual cycle is broken down as follows:

  • The first day of your period is also the first day of the cycle.
  • Your period lasts between 3 and 7 days.
  • Then begins the pre-ovulation phase until ovulation, which takes place on day 14 and lasts 24 hours.
  • From day 15 to day 28 is the luteal phase, during which your body will act differently depending on whether your egg has been fertilized or not.

Hi ladies, my name is ramona. Me and my husband been trying to convince for a long time now. So far nothing is happening. I was pregnant on 2021 December, but I had an D&C done because the doctor told me it wasn’t a good pregnancy, this was early in my pregnancy. So even since I did that menstrual cycle has not been the same. Some month I skip and my cycle are very long. Over 33 days and last month is was like 46 days. So I’m at the point I don’t know what to do. Please help.

I did, they told me everything is fine with me . They put on medication for my period to come down and they put me on METFORMIN. But I didn’t take the pill for period to come down . Because I’m not sure if I’m pregnant or not.

Hello ladies. I am currently 5 weeks 3 days pregnant. This is my 3rd pregnancy and I've been spotting for about 8 days now. It's not a heavy menstrual cycle flow nor are there any clots. I just notice it sometimes throughout the day on a panty liner and when I wipe. I was told that it could be blood vessels causing the bleeding or implantation bleeding, but I was also told that implantation bleeding is a myth and there is actually no bleeding that takes place during implantation. I don't know how true that is, but a obgyn said it soo... I take a pregnancy test almost daily and it's getting darker and darker. Any mommy ever experience this?? My 1st ultrasound appointment is Thursday May 19th so I'll find out for sure what's happening I've just been trying not to be anxious or nervous. Help a mommy out ladies!

I didn’t have implantation bleeding. But whatever dr told you that implantation isn’t real has no idea what they’re talking about lol it’s def a very real thing. I def wouldn’t go to that dr if they’ve said that. That’s a scientific fact lol

So i had my first prenatal appointment This past Thursday and from my knowledge i should’ve been 7 weeks and five days pregnant, when the doctor did the ultrasound scan she said the baby was measuring 6 weeks and two days, so they push my due date back from December 10th to December 20 , it’s a little concerning and scary because I’m sure that I had my last menstrual cycle March 5th ,this is a planned pregnancy and I was charting my ovulation as well as my ministration on two different pregnancy apps , so I’m just wondering if my baby is measuring smaller and my weeks calculated from my last period is right , which I feel is the case because there’s no way I’m a whole week behind , it wouldn’t make sense plus it would have been no way to get a positive test three days after my messed period If I’m currently only six weeks

Ur situation sounds kinda like mine. So I should be 9wks yest bc my 1st day of my last cycle was 2/25, when I went on Tues to a new Doc (bc I moved) they are thinking that my baby stopped developing n that I'm gona miscarry bc they didnt see the fetal pole or heartbeat. So I called my old Doc n they got me in for another ultrasound n they said everything was there that should be even the lil flutter of a heartbeat n they think I'm like 6wks, maybe 7wks. Soooo of course I'm stressing the F out now. I go in this Fri (to my old Doc) so they can do all the measurements. N I think it's stupid they calculate ur due date from the 1st day of ur last cycle bc u don't conceive then, it's normally like 2wks later. I'm just praying my lil beaner is ok!

They have to do that because not everyone ovulates 2 weeks later. I have a very irregular cycle. My cycles aren’t 28 days usually. Some cycles Are 26 days and I’ve had cycles as much as 36 days. And if you have very regular cycles you don’t always ovulate 2 weeks after. Anything can effect your cycle making you ovulate early or late

Hello First Time Mom's Implantation bleeding is light bleeding from the vagina that happens in some women 10 to 14 days after conceiving a baby. You may think it's just a light period, but it's an early sign of pregnancy. It's not dangerous, and you don't need treatment. Many women confuse implantation as having or being on their menstrual cycle. Implantation cramps occur 5 to 6 days after conception and can last one to three days. To tell if it's implantation cramps versus menstrual cramps, wait to see if you start menstruating. Don't worry if your on your menstrual or miscarriage until you see blood clots that would be the baby coming out in chunks or different color blood like bright red and dark red. You will not see brown blood this means old blood that's been inside of you for a while. Sometimes this could last up until second trimester 11to 13 weeks

I got my IUD removed 5 days ago. My doctor told me I needed to wait until after my first menstrual cycle to begin trying to have a baby. The day it was removed I had minor cramping and that was it. The next day I started bleeding and still am now, and have had cramps ever since. The timing seems right for my period as I believe the last time I had it it was around the first week of the month. How do I know if this is just a side effect of having my IUD removed or if I am having my period? (This would be my first pregnancy, I’m 29, so I haven’t experienced any of this before).

Hi Katie :) I recently got my iud out as well and my doctor told me I would be bleeding for a couple days after it is removed. I haven’t had my period in four years so I know it’s not that. Maybe give it a few more weeks to be sure!
