Tips to understand your baby

Your baby has just been born and doesn't have all the tools to express themselves yet. How can you understand them better?

  • Before your baby learns to speak, they communicate through cries, sounds and facial expressions, which can be a bit hard to decipher!
  • Don't be discouraged, though; with patience and attention, you'll get the hang of it.
  • Spend as much one-on-one time as possible with your baby in quiet places, so you can get to know each other.
  • The more frequent your time together, the more you'll understand your child's reactions, and the better you'll be able to meet their needs.

It's funny how right after I'm starting to see posts about people telling trying women their negative tests are positive, I'm seeing almost nothing but test posts on the main feed with women asking if their test is a faint positive or not. ? Yo. Please. Ladies. Just go and buy the variety pack of pregnancy tests with the line test AND the digital tests. You can take all of them at the same time and it will immediately clear up any confusion. I don't know how often faint lines happen but if you can barely see it in person, the people on the internet probably won't be able to help you much. Especially when you factor in lighting and things. Please. Get that variety pack instead of just the one kind. Please. I understand the want to be pregnant and have a baby is probably so intense. I don't want y'all getting your hopes up any more than they probably already are and then having them smashed to pieces when you find out that you are not actually pregnant after some stranger on the internet told you would most certainly were. Please. If you can't read a line test well enough, please go to Walgreens or CVS or Walmart or wherever and buy the goddamn variety pack of tests. This is madness we got going on in the main feed, y'all. ?

Yeah I just had that happen. I usually just scroll past them but since I was seeing so many, I answered one and immediately the OP asking said she thought she saw a faint line though. So I told her about the variety pack and I won't be answering anymore because I can already see they only want one answer and nothing else will do. The people telling these women with negative tests that they are positive are cruel. I want to believe it's not intentional but when it is so clearly a negative... I just feel for these ladies.

I really don't understand some people. We all are moms to be, why post your registry on here. It's not our responsibility to buy your baby items, maybe someone would donate things if you're falling on hard times. I'm 27 weeks an can assure you that we have everything our babygirl can an will need. We all have babies on the way,we all have to shop for our own. Good morning everyone

I was a little shocked when I saw moms posting their registries. I posted mine on Facebook so family has easy access, even then I stated to family that they were not obligated to buy anything!

I understand every family has their own drama but if your baby will have grandparents in their life, they are blessed. Life is very short. I didn't have any grandparents my entire life and now baby boy won't either. It makes me really sad because I wanted more for him. He deserves it!

Sometimes I sit and look at my 8yr old and feel sad because she thinks when the baby comes she's no longer my baby! I've explained to her that she'll always be mommy's baby, there's just gonna be a new baby your gonna have to share mommy this time. How did you guys help your LO understand?
