Baby cries at night: how to calm him down?

Very frequently at night, a baby crying can confuse parents, between restless sleep and worries. How to calm the baby down?

  • At night, a baby's crying can mean many things: night-time terror, hunger, cold, physical pain linked to poor digestion, or colic...
  • Several solutions can help you calm the baby's crying.
  • Avoid overloading his bed with cuddly toys or blankets and keep the temperature of the room between 18 and 20 degrees.
  • Your baby may be hungry: Up to three months of age, crying is mostly an expression of need.
  • But the sobbing can also be related to digestive pain: lay him flat on your forearm and sing him a pretty lullaby.
  • And yourselves, keep your cool! Babies can feel your worries and this affects their behavior... and their sleep.

These hormones suck ? I started crying last night after watching Chicago med when Natalie has her baby but knowing her husband won’t be able to meet him. I went to my husband and told him he wasn’t allowed to die and then just burst into tears ? this isn’t like me lol

I felt the same way! After its a lot harder dealing with the hormones and a new born baby… but hang in there. It only gets easier. I’m currently going through it after almost 2 months of having her & I feel it not as worse as the beginning. You got this mama!!!!

Thanks ❤️ ya I can’t imagine after having baby how hard it’ll be. I already suffer from depression so I’m a high risk for postpartum depression.

Last night, I was hanging up baby girl's clothes and just started crying. Grief of the baby I lost last July hit me hard. I started to feel like I was being punished, feeling guilty for loving my daughter, and wondering why did God choose me to go through this. I wasn't happy to have to give up NSAIDs, which is why I felt like I was being punished. Losing my baby 10 months ago made me grateful for Elly. Then I thought "did I have to lose one to appreciate her?" The guilt I felt was for loving Elly like I was betraying my other baby. I've used my experience to try to help other women going through what I did. I still wonder why God chose me to go through that heartbreak. Just venting and hormones getting to me ??

I soo relate to this mamas!! I had to miscarriages last year and I’ve had some of the same feelings. Like why did I have to lose 2 babies in order to get blessed with this beautiful healthy baby. But I do understand that everything happens for a reason and Just thank God everyday for giving me my healthy baby girl that’s growing stronger everyday inside of me.

You pick up yourself off the floor, after you allow yourself only a certain time period to cry and then you stand up straight and tall like a soldier for your baby girl and you fight to give her a good life ❤️❤️❤️ You got this mama!!

I'm overwhelmed right now. Can't hardly sleep at night with my baby boy crying. He won't hardly sleep in the bassinet, he'll sleep more in my arms, or my in laws arms. So tonight I guess I'm turning myself into a night owl since my boy won't let me sleep. Nothing I do seems to help him sleep much. I don't know maybe I'm not cut out to be a mom.?

My baby keeps sucking her hands or playing with them in mouth she’s not 3 months yet until 13th . Can it be her teeth. Also she is not a cry baby but very happy baby but lately at night she wakes up crying can it be night mares or teething ? She has produced more saliva.
