How to recognize water breaking?

Water breaking is one of the signs that you are about to give birth and, like every mother-to-be, you are anxiously awaiting it.

  • Towards the end of your pregnancy, the membrane containing the amniotic fluid breaks.
  • A warm, completely clear fluid will flow down your legs.
  • It may be a few drops or a lot more, depending on how the water breaks.
  • This water breaking is followed by severe contractions and the opening of your cervix.
  • It's time to go to the maternity ward!

Hello ladies how are you guys doing so I don’t come on here a lot but I have a few questions so I am going six weeks early my due date is August 19 I have a surgery set for July 13 and it’s going to be a cesarean so like do they induce your labor do they break your water like I just wanna be prepared and know these things it’s been a while it’s been almost 9 years in my water did break I was trying to go natural and then I got rush so this is kind of different thank you in advance

did they tell you why you having the baby earlier then your due date? From my understanding when you are going through a cesarean I think they don’t break your water cause they will start off your labor with some type of IV to get you in active labor then go in to do the surgery it all depends.

Did anyones water break early and if so, how long after water breakage did u go into labor ? My water broke on Monday and I’ve been in the hospital ever since. The doctors plan on keeping me until I deliver. I’m currently 30weeks pregnant tomorrow. The doctors have said they want to keep the baby in the uterus til about 34 weeks, if possible. But I’ve also read and the doctors have said that the baby usually can be delivered within 7 days. Has this ever happened to anyone before ?

I am literally going through this right now. My water broke at 29 weeks 4 days. And now I'm stuck in the hospital until they induce me at 34 weeks. I will be 31 weeks tomorrow. And my fiance and I live 1 hour and 30 minutes from the hospital I'm delivering at so he can only come up once a week to see me.

so question: had a weird pee…did my water break? some facts: 1. longer ish pee 2. pretty pale in color 3. didn’t smell like pee 4. have some lower back pressure happening ?

If it's pee, it smells like ammonia. If what you smell is sweet then go get checked as that could be your water breaking

Y’all, I had a little scare last night . I took a shower then went to lay down for a bit & soon as I sat down I felt water coming down. Went straight to the wash room & just stood there as more came down. Eventually went to theLabor & delivery they checked my crevix & I was not dilated nor did my water break ?. Baby was also monitored & he was ok . Anyone experienced this before?

It gets harder for some women to hold their bladder the further along they get. It’s normal.

Need a little help. My midwife osmr answering. I was asleep about an hour ago and felt a pop then I felt wetness in my vagina so I got up to use the bathroom. Since then I've been feeling wetness. Did my water break ?

So I have clear urine coming out did my water break I’ve been on this toilet for 4 minutes every time I push the clear pee come out it’s no pee odor

You should really try walking on a curb basically one leg on the curb the other leg on the road or sidewalk just make sure your slanted for at least 35 minutes that would really help !
