When do the painful contractions appear?

Like most moms-to-be, you probably dread the pain of contractions. When do they start?

  • Throughout your pregnancy, you will experience contractions that are usually painless and irregular.
  • The first contractions occur around the 4th month and help the fetus position itself head down in your uterus.
  • The most painful contractions are the ones that precede childbirth. They dilate the cervix and prepare the baby for birth.
  • However, some women experience painful contractions early, so talk to your doctor.
  • Don't worry, there are several tips to relieve painful contractions!

#twins what the heck is this!? 32 weeks and having right side pain like a contraction but it's relentless. Not a pause in sight for an hour. It's horrible. I've had 3 kids and never once was it like this.

That’s what I have. My right side is always hurting and it’s like sharp pins that last for hours no matter what I do. I brought it up to the doctor and she just told me it’s probably just from my growing uterus and it’s normal during pregnancy

When do I know I’m having contractions? These Braxton hicks are getting closer in time but idk when it’s the real one. I’ve been cramping a lot more and I feel more pressure also in my butt lol . I can deal with pain so idk when/if I’m having a real contraction. ❓❓❓❓❓❓
