Colic in a one-week-old baby
It's rare for babies to have colic in their first week of life, but it can happen. Here's some information to help you:
- It's a good idea to talk to your pediatrician, who will check to make sure your baby is doing well.
- Infant colic is not serious, even if it is painful.
- Colic is caused by intestinal immaturity, allergy to cow's milk, or simply anxiety.
- Provide a soothing environment for your baby.
- Make sure you are overfeeding your baby and that they don't swallow air while eating.
